We made it through 2021 with hopefully flying colours ,we reinstated our Society Act status and are now called Seventy Mile Access Center Society 2021. We did some repairs to our septic system and some are still some needed, we have a caretaker now keeping the home fires burning and helping with chores.we did well at raising money for the fire victims in Lyton by having a by donation sale and raising just under $600 and then topped it up to $1000 which was given to the 100 Mile House Branch Lions Club to forward it to Lytton Lions as their branch is closed at this time. It was donated to their Fire Relief Fund (Lyttons) . We donated clothing to the workers at Desert Hills Ranch to take home with them which was greatly appreciated. We bought a Hot Dog machine so we can sell Hot Dogs when we are open and at “Do’s” to bring in extra revenue.

We have been and will continue to follow all Covid rules and expect people to wear masks while in SMAC, and keep distances we will be limiting patrons in the thrift shop so it is not crowded in there and the other rooms. We managed to distribute over 30 Food Hampers and will continue to do this. Our Coffee’s On is going to start again hopefully again towards the end of January.

Memberships are due for 2022 and you can pay at SMAC the price of the membership is $15 per year new members can fill out the membership forms and please include your email address as we will be hopefully sending out monthly newsletters.
